Sri Lankan-Irish artist. Recent shows include City as Stage at the Serendipity Arts Festival in Panjim, Goa, India and Entangled in the History of the Idea at Pallas P/S Dublin, Ireland.

Having moved from Sri Lanka, Perera explores the sensorial story of movement, ancestral knowledge and cultural taboo. Within her practice, she is engaged in a process of ‘worldbuilding’ which imagines a paracosmos where female protagonists have the agency to create and structure their world.

Michella Perera is a Sri Lankan-Irish artist who graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2017 (MFA). Her practice incorporates participatory events which function as a research tool, allowing her to integrate in cultural practices and shared storytelling of neighbourhoods.
